Parachutist Certificate with "A" Endorsement
General Info
Parachutist Certificate with A endorsement are issued to those applicants that do not hold a NZPIA Parachutist Certificate and meet the requirements of the A endorsement.
On completion of the online assessment exam, the NZPIA assessor will confirm your identification and the practical requirements listed below during the online application system.
On successful completion of this process you will be issued with a temporary certificate with A Endorsement electronically that is valid for 30 days. In that time auditing requirements aside a life time Certificate will be issued s to the New Zealand address you provide.
"A" Endorsement requirements
a) Attainment of this endorsement indicates a minimum level of competence and self-reliance.
b) The parachutist must have successfully completed both theoretical and practical training under the supervision of a suitably qualified Parachute Instructor.
c) Conditions - Applicants must:
- Have completed an applicable training table for students.
- Have made at least 25 free fall jumps and accumulated a minimum of 5 minutes of free fall time.
- Have completed 5 formation jumps demonstrating the control of their body in free fall.
- Have demonstrated the ability to land within 50 meters of a target, on at least 10 jumps.
- Have demonstrated the ability to pack a main parachute without assistance Have completed an applicable training table for students.
- Have been briefed in emergency water landing drills.
- Have been briefed on the use of non student equipment conducted by an Instructor and have the authorisation of a CSO to use non-student equipment.
- Have passed the online NZPIA Parachutist Certificate Exam.
